hi, i've just received my copy of the "tough" furniture catalogue. its great stuff and they have loads of solutions to our furniture problems but its very expensive. i was wondering if anyone knows of any charities that could help with funding some of this furniture? i know the family fund may well help but we've just had our holiday grant from them (£900 worth of thomas cook vouchers, thank you very much =] ) so i cant ask them for anything till next may =/ many thanks, ali xxx

    Hi
Why is everything aimed at special needs extortionately priced????
But I would recommend you look at : www.disability-grants.org
We were very successful through Cerebra and an easy, not too intrusive process
    Good luck

thanks, will give them a try =]

its very frustrating when you price compare! putting special needs into anything seems to double the price =/

I agree, specialist provision is very expensive! It's very frustrating. We get all the catalogues and use them as inspiration - then go down the high street and try to find equivalent. Sensory equipment is probably the worst - I've seen equivalent items in the pound shop!!!
But "Tough Furniture" is fantastic - and I've known some families save a fortune over the years, especially if you care for someone who regularly bounces on and breaks beds.
