Hi! I looking for some suitable shoes for my adult daughter who has down syndrome. She wears inserts and now we have been advised to get a more supportive shoe around the ankle with a firm heel. The orthopaedic consultant recommended shoes by Ecco, Chartis (?) and Hotter. Can anyone advise where I could get such shoes? Or any other suitable make? Either in a major shoe shop or online. Thanks very much

did you ask if you could get them on prescription? I see an orthotist at the hospital with my daughter and get all her shoes that way
you could also try: http://www.cheerfulsoles.co.uk/
also this site links to two of the brands you mentioned: http://www.sueferguson.co.uk/recommended_shoes.html

Hi
Great information. Just going to hospital tomorrow to see a podiatrist for help and advice for my son's shoes. I can go armed with some knowledge now. Thank you!
