2 year deadline for core strength
yesterday we went to Evelina for an assessment with the physio. My son is presently trying to stand and building strength in his legs to support himself and at 19 months corrected is not yet able to sit unsupported. His core strength is gradually improving, but slowly. The Evelina physio mentioned about the 2 year deadline again to have enough core strength otherwise will be in a wheelchair . is this deadline set in stone ? Are there times when core strength to sit unsupported comes later and hence he would avoid being in a wheelchair. My son is quadraplegic, so his legs are better than his arms. he is at his right corrected age for cognitive abilities, socialisation etc.
