Hi everyone,
I would just like to let you all know about our new and exciting research study that is going on at the moment which you might like to get involved in. It is going on at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (King’s College London) in Camberwell, South London. We are right outside Denmark Hill station. The study is looking at how the brain and behaviour of people with learning disability with and without autism develops through time. To be in this study you would need to be between 12 and 30 years old.
You would have to visit us twice within a month to play some fun games and answer some questions about yourselves. The most exciting and important part of the study is the brain scan which is where we take lots of pictures of your brain whilst you do some fun tasks in the scanner. In one of them you even get a chance to win some money and we will send you a picture of your brain for you to keep! To go in the scanner you will need to be able to lie very still for at least 30mins and being ok with loud noises. We will pay for all your travel (and overnight accommodation if necessary) and will also reimburse you for your time (£100 for both visits). If this sounds like something you would like to do or you would like some more information, please get in touch with our research team via email at eu-aims@kcl.ac.uk and we will send you the full information on the study.
Thanks,
The EU-AIMS Team
