Hi, I just received an appointment for my home PIP medical and it is on the day of a holiday that I have not had in a long time should I cancel the holiday as I think they would take a dim view of my reason to cancel, so tired.

Hi Crybaby123321,
This is a bit of a tricky one isn't it? You shouldn't have to cancel your holiday but you should ring the assessor on the number on the letter and explain to them and see if they can re-schedule the assessment for after your holiday.
Let us know if you were successful with this and whether you encountered any problems.
I hope it works out for you and don't forget i'm on hand if you need some further guidance.
Best wishes

Hi Debbie, phoned Friday the 4th they re scheduled for Tuesday the 6th between 9-11, then on 5th a guy called George phoned and said the lady who was to do the medical had gone on sick and would we phone when we get back from holiday to reschedule, Don't know what to make of it and how it might come back to haunt us

When are you due to go on holiday and how long are you away for? If you've been advised to call them when you return that's all you can do, but I understand how this must be quite unnerving for you, especially when you hear all the horror stories about these assessments.
You've made a note of the contact you had with them so keep those details to hand if anything should happen. You've done all the right things, what more can you do?!
Try and enjoy your holiday and hopefully when you come back your assessor will be well again and you can continue with this. Let me know if you have problems arranging another appointment when you come back.
All the best
