Hi I am Dianne, aged 58 with ME & osteoarthritis in my hands, knee, shoulder and hips. Lost my part-time job back in May & have struggled to find another. I have been told I don't have relevant nvq's or am too old. I have been a fulltime carer to son with autism/challenging behaviour for 21 yrs but he moved into supported living 6 yrs ago when he became so aggressive that Dr said I was at risk of serious injury.
Not been down the benefits avenue as I wouldn't know where to start & as I rarely visit GP I don't have the medical info to back me.
