Transport to school

My  4 year got EHCP recently on 25th January. And he joined school form 20 February 2017 after being at home for 6 months.

Does he entitled for transport to school. Both of us me and my husband not working at the moment due to chemotherapy for Leukemia for my other son.

My husband is on Income support.

According to the government website, your son will be entitled to transport if his needs means he can't walk to school.   If you follow this link, you can put your postcode in and it should tell you what to do next: https://www.gov.uk/apply-school-transport-for-child-with-special-educational-needs-sen

That link @Kress has posted is good - you do need to check the policy in your area.  I don't think I think it is based on your income or health, it's more about how far the school is from your house.  

My little girl is 4 but can't have transport yet as in our borough it doesn't start until she is in reception class (they won't take her to nursery) in the borough next door they would!
