In January I had pip reassessment, the consultant has given a terrible report many things she said are untrue, she refers to the MSK movements on each descriptor, however she has said I could do movements I was not even asked to do,  as a result I scored 0. I have sent in a GP letter and my MRI results and have requested a MR. I am now making myself ill with worry, I have read that only 16% of manditory reconsiderations are successful. Can anyone advise me please? I can't get my head around the lies that have been told in the report and fear I have no chance now

Hi Tulip sorry to hear of your worries. I hope it lifts your spirits a little bit though to know that the proportion of successful mandatory reconsiderations is actually a little above 60%. See below from Benefits at Work, posted in June.

"The latest statistics from the Tribunals Service reveal that almost two thirds of personal independence payment (PIP) appeals are successful.

The success rate for PIP appeals in the last quarter of 2015-16 stands at 63%."

Hi Chris thanks for that info yes it has cheered me up a little. I just have to wait and worry now, I intend to complain to Capita about the lady who assessed me because if her report were true I would accept it but she has painted a very untrue picture of my disability and what she 'assumed' I could do. I'm hoping that they accept my GP evidence now.

    Hi Tulip,

How did your mandatory reconsideration go?
