My grandson has been getting assessed for both these can I put in for DLA without the diagnosis

My own son was granted DLA before he had his diagnosis. You don't need a diagnosis as a prerequisite for DLA but you do need lots of evidence to back up your claim. I made copies of all the assessments my son had had and also asked relevant people - teachers at his specialist school placement, etc - to write supporting statements. The claim has to be put in by whoever has legal responsibility for the child concerned.
It's not easy, but it's definitely possible. Also remember that when you fill the form in, you need to be writing it based on 'worst days' rather than best. It can be a bit depressing filling it out, but is certainly worth trying it - if they decide that your grandson qualifies then the extra help can make a huge difference.
