Hi mattsme
The advice here depends on what has happened since your benefit was stopped. Usually the first thing to do is request a mandatory reconsideration (MR) of the decision to stop benefit assuming you disagree with it. If you are still unhappy with the decision you can then appeal. It sounds as if you have completed the MR process, have appealed and are now waiting for the tribunal hearing. If this is the case you should continue with your appeal and attend the hearing accessing any local advice that may be available in your area.
If your circumstances have changed since the decision to stop benefit was made in December then you should consider making a fresh application. This is because any change since December cannot be considered by the appeal tribunal. And so it may be that you effectively have two applications continuing at the same time.
In summary, I suggest you continue with your appeal and at the same time make a new application following the change of circumstances.
