My husband who is on a pension as I am myself my husband gets pip if I claim carers allowance does it come out of his pip or is it paid to me independently ?

    Options
    You cannot claim State Pension and Carers Allowance together as they are classed as overlapping benefits.  You can still have what they call an underlying right to Carers Allowance which helps towards Council Tax and Pension Credit.
