Hi everyone,

I run the Supported Internship Programme at Peterborough Regional College.

We enable young people aged 16-24 with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) to get into work.

We provide our students with a personalised programme which is tailored to their skills, abilities, needs, and ambitions. Students spend 1-2 days per week at college and 2-3 days per week with an employer.

Whilst at work, students receive 1:1 support from a job coach who will support them in any way they need. Support will be reduced once the student and the employer feel confident that the young person is able to work more independently.

It is a fantastic opportunity for young people with additional needs to get into work with a bit of extra support.
