Hi, I'm Catherine. I have seen scope around since I was younger but never knew what it was all about until I saw it advertised on Facebook. I have a 5 year old son (Well in a few weeks he will be 5) who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder about a year and half ago, even though like others we knew he was different from around 1 and a half. He is also very hyperactive and people who work with him also think he will have other diagnosis's alongside autism as his needs are very complex. He can be a struggle at times and it would be nice to talk to people in a similar situation.

Hi @cathedwards:
Thanks very much for posting Catherine, and welcome to the community!
We've got a Parenting Advisor section and lots of discussion about Parents and Carers and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), so I encourage you to have a look around and get involved.
Fantastic to have you here!

Hi @cathedwards welcome to the community. Have a look around, especially in the categories that @MikeBroderick suggests above.
Do you know if there are any local groups to you for children with ASD? Take a look at the NAS to see if they have anything in your area.Scope
