Hi. My name is Steve & I'm 51 years "young"  Following a Stroke in 1998 plus many Brain operations I'm now left with Chronic Pain down the whole right side.
I'm also on meds which are all at there maximum doses. I was also on Morphine Patches but these had little to no effect at all so I was given stronger patches.
Which have had no effect at all on my Pain Levels. Over the past few years I have been told by a number off NHS/Private Consultants that I need to have "Deep Brain Stimulation" which is great news. But there is "One Problem" the "NHS" won't "Fund" the operation ??? Very strange indeed.
Please please let me know if I can help you with anything else ???
    Steve.
