Hi, My husband has a VNS. I can tell you it is has been a godsend for both of us. It has given him some control over his siezures for the first time in his life. He was unsure at first like you, whether to have it, but you have nothing to lose as it can be switched off or removed if you really do not like it. You still take your medication and it is not a cure but it is a clever little gadget.
