just a quick up date. Still waiting for my reconsideration. Phoned the DWP who asked me 3 times to repeat my phone number??
Told again that reconsiderations have no time limit?
Its been a while 18th May since I asked for a reconsideration and my PIP was stopped 18th April.
I did speak to a friend who said after loosing his tribunal he has now made a new claim for PIP and has been given the top rate for mobility and care. So perhaps this maybe the way forward?
A bit fed up with waiting....after asking for my number several times I feel like it was some kind of test? But I feel like that every time I have to speak to them.

They are right - there's no time limit on how long the MR decision can take.

if you do make a new claim, I was told the other one is cancelled - meaning you would only get paid from the date you phoned up for the form.

@aries Hi nice to see a familiar user name back here. Just to say if your MR isn't successful you can at anytime ask for a call back from a DWP case worker to discuss what it is they aren't accepting and what they need as regards evidence to change the decision. You can do this at the same time as you apply for appeal. If they know you're going to appeal and not just accepting the award it will help to get them to offer to look at it again even after the MR. I did this and got 6 more points and an award I was willing to accept. So try not to think too far ahead I'm sure you don't want to have to start again. Once they've rejected a claim it will be much harder to get PIP in the future. Complaining about your assessment also helps if you haven't already.  Good Luck with your MR..
