    Hi @mary4ian:

    Thanks for your post.

Have you been working through any of the disability specialists at the job centre, so they understand your situation?

You might have a look at our Benefits Calculator to see which benefits you may be entitled to, as well as the discussion in the What Benefits Am I Entitled to section.

@BenefitsTrainingCo can you advise on this situation? Thank you.

    HI mary4ian

I would usually advise someone in your situation to return to ESA once the appeal has been received.

Your Housing Benefit can continue to be paid whether or not you qualify for another benefit as you will see in the guidance to Housing Benefit offices here at para W5.750. It's just that the local authority must verify that you have no other income and this can cause a delay. If you do switch back to ESA i suggest you visit your Housing Benefit office and explain the situation clearly. There may still be a period whilst your HB is suspended and i appreciate that this can cause difficulties. But if you keep everyone informed it should get sorted.

    Good luck
