    Hi Jane and welcome
I don't like the word "Disability". Instead I consider that there are conditions that can limit your ability to do something. :)
Wearing down of your spine could certainly limit your ability to do things, but please don't think of your self as disabled.
If you can please tell us a little more about yourself and If I can help you with anything please just yell out

Be all you can be, make  every day count. Namaste

    Hi @janerogers,

Welcome to Scope's online community! It's great to have you here.

The Gov.UK website has some useful information about what's classed as a disability under the Equality Act 2010. They say:
"You’re disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities."

I hope this helps. Alternatively, you could speak to your GP to find out more about your condition.
