Hi All,
I am sure all of us are more or less creative human beings. :)
I am inviting you to share your creativity (poems, art, songs, crafts, blogs, articles and ..... )
Let's  make  this community to  show up the talents and hidden potentials.
Join then and share with me/us.

To create poem,  sometimes what I need just is simple, two things:
be expose to sun (no much here in UK) or walk and be expose to  the fresh air at the same time.
Today, I created my little new poem in English,  when I walked on the fresh air (after rain is always fresh air outside).

I will share it with you:

                                  "Wise Woman"

A pet or a thinking ape or
a Woman with head, who raise her hands into sky, because she is wise.
Using her gifts, she brings the change to peace The World to make it safe.
Globally teach how to behave, be crystal in mind to act with a heart.

Great idea @iza - thanks for sharing your lovely poem.

This post has made me think about how little time I set aside to be creative, so I will be sure to do some art or writing over the long weekend now.

Looking forward to seeing what others share!

Thanks so much for sharing your poem with us, @iza! Once again, I'm reminded that I need to get back into writing poetry again - I remember just how fun it was when I wrote the odd poem here and there when I was younger!

Although, nowadays, I'm more involved in the article-writing/journalistic side of things: blogs, news articles and so forth! I'm hoping that I'll have some time to go back to creative writing/fiction soon. Fingers crossed!

Hi @LiamO_Dell, writing /journaling is creativity too. Perhaps, you could share with me tips how to journaling and write articles for professional research organisation. It would be useful for many of community members.
    Thanks.

    Hiya @iza
Thank you for sharing this great idea; Love your poem, I write a bit of verse myself from time to time but, unlike you, havent had the courage to show anyone.
Its a great way to get your thoughts and feelings out, for sure.

"Closer, every time she hears it, now,
    The horn sounds, again:
    Her breath ragged, panting
    No more fences to jump,
Nowhere to lay and rest, now,
As the baying pack are close, and,
    Resigned to the knowledge
    That she has to fight,
    That she must fight,
    The vixen turns; teeth bared,
    Growling guttural, front legs stiff
Ears back, eyes fixed on the approach
Of rolling brown, black and white, and,
Ready, now, to battle to the end,
She prepares to kiss the darkness:
Their leader reaches her first, and,
He slows, the others circling, cautious
All about her, and he asks,
    'Any final words?', and
    She replies, defiantly,
    Through teeth honed sharp
On the bones of other enemies,
'Never forget me, that I was also
    A dog, just like you'

I used to write a fair amount of poetry. Mostly either bright and cheerful or vengeful but over time it got shorter and darker so I write little these days, This is a good example of why I stopped writing.

    I Wish

I wish I had freedom instead of the chain

I wish I had comfort instead of the drain

I wish I was happy but unhappiness came

I wish I was full of joy, not of disdain

I wish I had hope but instead it was slain

I wish I had meaning, it burnt in the flame

I wish I had sunshine instead of the rain

    I wish I had thoughts, all I have's a dead brain

I wish I could change things and not just my name

I wish I had someone but no one will claim

I wish I had life but instead I have pain

And it is only me that's most likely to blame

Thank you. Whenever I read it I just see darkness and hopelessness in it. Maybe that's in me already though.

Hi @DannyMoore, the poem is amazing.
It shows that your best friend was very closed to you and really understood you. Life is life, we all grow up and split apart to follow our pathways of life. Is good if the friendship is so strong and it can survive the distance and years. Being in touch and seeing from time to time is great.

Hello I love what I see here it makes feel great and inspired.  Sorry to say this word of warning.  I used to write and it helps I found out a course I had been on creative writing the tutor used all our poems and writings adapted them for his own ends and published them in a book.  It has put me off doing any writing especially these courses.

Recently I spent time with someone who made me feel again but, as usual, I dropped back into old patterns and pushed her away. I did write this though and I'm curious about what others think of it.

                                 CARLI

It’s odd how life treats you, how it throws you a curve

At a time when you need to be static and strong

You suddenly need to sit back and observe

Thinking over and over of where you belong

But the sameness of life needs a shake up and then

When it comes, great a surprise, in the oddest of ways

You feel shock, you feel different, unprepared for the Zen

For the Yin and the Yang that a womanly gaze

Brings back hope and surprise that you seemed to have lost

Such a lady I’ve met, not a wonder of wonders

But someone of great presence with a beauty inside

That makes my life just seem like a mass of great blunders

Yet never a once did I feel I should hide

She is Carli by label but so so much more

She has held and caressed me and left me just missing

Her touch and her energy down to my core

It frightens and terrifies that just with soft kissing

A life can rekindle and almost count cost

So why is this difficult, why just so hard

To accept that an answer lies just within reach

Maybe because that instead of a shard

Of age in between it’s as large as a beach

Who, what and why would a lass of such youth

Even bother with me as I’m in such a state

As a man with no future, with not even a tooth

With which to consume food from every plate

And why do I suddenly feel so less lost

With Carli it’s simple, just to look in her eyes

Becomes a such thrill ride that never should stop

With a touch of her hand a whole world of surprise

Becomes normal and actual and never will drop

Back into confusion, back into distress

For hope becomes normal though missing for years

You want to just hold her, you want to just press

Her close now and always and drive away fears

But doubt still assails as for her such great cost

Can you really just ask such a wonder as Carli

To walk through the pain that must follow my life

From now to conclusion there can be no party

That one such as she shares a life full of strife

Yet when she is with you the light is so bright

The smile shines great happiness, banish the dark

And the things that she does to me makes me feel light

I could walk on the clouds, I feel young with a spark

Not felt for so long because sparks can be lost

I need this young lady or whatever part

I can keep for myself for as long as it lasts

She makes me feel wonder, she gives me a heart

I had lost long ago in the storm when wind blasts

You into small pieces and the cold is a frost

That chills you inside leaving tattered and broken

The man you once were a man who is lost

And yet found again living prepared with a token

To pay any price for a love that once cost

Everything that he had, all he once was

The answer is simple, the answer is Carli

Hi @Topkitten, it is incredibly strong beautiful poem.
It seems to me that she was the one to bring you the all (healing, happiness and love).
Never drop back  on the woman who make you feel yourself. Fight for her.
True love does not happen to many.

I have recently found a new way to be creative:  sewing and adapting clothes for my daughter.

It started out as another care task I needed to do, but has become a really relaxing hobby with just the right balance of skill, thinking and creativity to keep me happy. Nothing too technical, just dribble bibs, vests and hair bows so far - but it keeps me happy :)

Hi @Blue Frog, sewing is very good skills for life. I can sew a lift but in general I do not have passion for it.

Hi @AuraTodd1, the woodland in magic, very nice photo. I miss that such a woodland is not here in London nearby.

@iza did you know that today is National Poetry Day?! What is everyone's favourite poem?

When I was younger I adored Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes - they still make me laugh lots now.
