Hi, I live  next door to my parents. They have left their house to me and my brother in their will.  It would be ideal as a home with Carer's for my profoundly disabled daughter. We want to keep her close but accept we will not be able to care for her ourselves for ever.  Being next door would be the dream. Can a disabled person get a mortgage In their own name? Could my daughter get a mortgage for my brothers half of the house? What kind of living allowance does a young person receive to pay for housing and care packages? I am totally new to this subject as my daughter is nearly 16 and we haven't begun to think about it yet. To be honest o feel quite daunted with the whole concept! Any advice would be gratefully received and any literature available. Thank you.
