Hi I am new to this site , I have osteoarthritis and I am wondering if this is classed as a disability? I am hoping to get back to work in the near future after being off work for sometime now , i have had a total knee replacement a few months ago and will be having another one soon , I just need some support really , when I start applying for work

In terms of disability benefit, it is not the condition that matters but how it affects the things you can do.

I have already had a health assessment and have been classed fit for work by DWP , but do not know what sort of work I will be able to do really as have lots of pain in my knees , back and hands .

My wife has osteo/rhematoid /lupus and received enhanced PIP. I would suggest that it would be worth taking the self test to see whether you may be entitled
