Will writing

Hi everyone.
Can someone give me a bit of advice. I want to write a will and include my disabled daughter who is in the care of the social services because of the serious nature of her disability. If I leave her nothing to avoid the SS getting the money can they sue my estate for it and has it ever happened? I wanted to leave a small amount in a discretionary trust for her holidays etc but a lawyer has said that they can challenge the will.
Sorry about this I know it is complex.I love my daughter and don't want her forgotten.

Hi @nellyg, welcome to the community!

This sounds like a complex issue that might best be addressed by discussing it over the phone with our helpline team, as they may be more informed on these kind of matters. Do give them a ring on 0808 800 3333!
