On Saturday I had an acknowledgement letter from Capita.  Usual will investigate & let me know within 20 days.
Today I had my Mandatory Review decision letter from the DWP.  Basically the Decision Maker  copied the Medical Assessment Report details. She ignored more up to date information I sent with the MR letter. So I have to start Tribunal Process.
I am feeling really rough at present with cold/chest infection/virus.  Also had anxiety problems over the weekend because of something innocently wrote on a Facebook Page  which caused bad memories  from my childhood& nightmares so making me feel worse.  I will have to leave tribunal for a few days until I am in a better place mentally.

PIP is more interested in social care needs rather than the illness. Signed statements from informal or formals carers on how they help you every day are important evidence, as is your care plan from you specialist nurse or Adult Social Care team re Direct Payments. GP letters are also good as you can get carers mentioned and how your symptoms affect your mobility or daily living.
64% win at Tribunal, so I would get more NHS evidence - get Citizen's Advice or a charity to help you with the forms. Sometimes specialist nurses off help.
    Take care. Don't give up.

    Dear Annabelle26
Dont worry too much about mandatory reconsideration result, most of these just rubber stamp the original report.
The Tribunal ,however, are independent from the DWP.They will look at your evidence more objectively.
    Good luck.x

Thank you for the videos about the Tribunal.  The biggest worry I have is actually attending.  I know it is the best thing to do but I am already having Anxiety Attacks & Nightmares about it so I am not sure whether to attend or just have a paper one.  I have no one I can take with me.

Hi @Annabelle26 We've still not heard back from them concerning my son's complaint either.Their twenty days by THEIR reckoning is up tomorrow (complaint was logged on the system on Dec 11th) I originally complained at the end of November but had to wait for the complaints pack and my son's written authority to act on his behalf had to be sent even though I am his appointee.

I did receive a phonecall however quite soon after the letter you just got so be prepared the case manager may ring you for further info.I had a list ready that I carried everywhere round the house with me in case they did lol so had plenty of stuff to add to my original complaint including a further complaint about the rework.

Son's appeal has now been posted so not much else to report here.I have to have 'days off' from it all too but it starts to seep into daily life wether you try not to let it or not! We have asked for a paper appeal due to our circumstances so I'll update with anything that may be of help to others having to take this route.
