Hi,
I have a 23 yr old "special needs" daughter. We adopted her when she was 10. We saw a doc yesterday about her ankles because she continuously twists them. He asked if she was dx'd with cp. It has never been mentioned before so I started reading. She most certainly has many of the symptoms. IF she has cp it would explain a who lot of inexplicable illnesses/difficulties. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. He is going to put her in ankle braces to stabilize her. I'm glad I found this community.
Thanks,
Stephanie

Hello @steph4nier
I would first contact your G.P. who can refer your daughter to a specialist who can really focus on the specific problems that your daughter is experiencing. The specialist will ask about medical history and may need to know about any issues surrounding the pregnancy or birth. I understand that she is your adopted daughter but maybe social services/ children's services have that information on record?
