CP Liquid Tolerance

Hello my granddaughter Charlotte-rose is 10 months old she was diagnosed with CP early, my daughter had a placenta abruption and Charlotte-rose was starved of oxygen for 15 minutes this is what caused her to have CP. I am looking for some advice, she is still being tube feb and we try her with purée food as I think it’s her tolerance for liquid that is a problem , she also doesn’t have great head control and this can be difficult she produces a lot of saliva and can sometimes choke , she tends to hold her breath and she favours her right hand side, she goes rigid and then losens frequently, she will have screaming episodes for hours at a time and my daughter doesn’t know what to do, any advice please

Hi @Pamela1
It's essential you get advice from your child’s speech and language therapist but you can read more about eating difficulties.
Best wishes, Alex
