Advice
Hello, i'm new here & would like some advice. My son was born with a cleft lip/palate, has since been diagnosed with adhd & dyslexia. Thankfully he enjoys School (Year 2) but struggles quite a bit academically unless he has a lot of 1:1 attention. I applied for an Ehcp plan last year but the School didn't support it as they believe they are doing enough for him within school (they have since stepped that up since his dyslexia was diagnosed) However I still believe an Ehcp plan would help him reach his potential. He's pretty challenging out of School too! Any advice especially about the Ehcp gratefully received

Hi @Lisaoc, and welcome to the community!
Thanks for sharing this with us, I wonder if @IndependentSupportServices could offer any input here?
In the meantime, you may also be interested in our parents and carers category. -
Hi @Lisaoc
I suggest you contact your local Independent Support Service to talk through the EHCP process, what to expect, what evidence to submit with application etc. You can find them through the link below
