Hi everyone, I am currently on contribution based ESA and I am in the support group. I have passed my assessment the other month and was deemed not fit for work and switched from work to support group. I have been off sick since Sept16, recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia & my employer is dismissing me due to ill health.
Will I still receive my ESA benefit once my employer has terminated my contract? I am aware I need to inform the DWP once my documents from my employer come through. I was just wondering what will happen to my ESA money? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi @zsr, and welcome to the community!
It's difficult to predict what the outcome will be, but hopefully some of our community members will be able to share their experiences with you. You may find this Citizens Advice guidance on reporting changes to the DWP helpful, and you may like to look through our existing ESA discussions to see others' experiences. Do keep us updated and we'll assist you where we can!
