Blue badge - Parking Notice

Can anyone help? I was parked in disabled bay with badge showing and went into Argos to change an item. When I came back the parking notice was on window. When I opened the car the badge was on the floor! It must have slipped off dash when I shut car door (rounded dash). I appealed and it was rejected. Then I went to landowners who are going to get in touch with VCS to get their story.
If the appeal was rejected by VCS how is the outcome going to be different I asked. Still waiting for an answer? I'm going to be charged £100 through no fault off my own.
Most off the ticket rules follow English law. Different here in Scotland.

In law it is your responsibility to ensure that the badge is clearly displayed. It takes only a few seconds to check that it is still on display before you walk away from the car. I very much doubt if there is anything that can be done. Maybe someone else can suggest something.

Fraid it is up to you to make sure your badge is readable through your window by anyone who has a right to read it.
Best to pay up.
If there is cctv you could ask to see if anyone had deliberately knocked your badge off by shacking your car.there are such people who hate disabled people -

One point that was made to me recently regarding Blue Badges is that the leather covers with the clear plastic on the inside prevent the badges being read properly should they try to use something that checks authenticity. They make the real badges seem a fake and I was advised to cut a hole in the plastic to prevent this happening to me. Spot checks are not common but, I was told, do happen sometimes.

As others have stated its the badge holders responsibility to ensure the badge is visable and the clock set to correct time, as for wallets can be bought for £10 to £15 on line that accept the new larger badges and have a cut out in the corner to protect badge from sun light.

I had a situation in an asda car park. No BB parking bay available so had to use a standard bay. To be able to open car door fully to get out I had to park to one side slightly over the bay line. I received a ticket for this even though my BB was correctly displayed. I challenged the fine and asked for photo evidence. No evidence was provided and the fine was removed.

Our law in Scotland is different. We do not need to use the time clock and many people just ignore the parking notice, something to do with the law, with or without a blue badge.
I got scared though and worry. -
