Ive been through pips assment which was up for renewal in march 2018 and just been awarded for it
But my esa is up for renewal in march as well do they contact me for the renewal or do i have to contact them ?

They will send you another ESA50 form which has to be filled in and returned by the date stated. You'll also need to send in all evidence with the form to support your claim.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

Hi brian
You should not have to ask for a form. ESA is an open ended benefit and can be reassessed at any time, some are being defered due to backlog.
You can ring DWP and ask when your review date is, this will not trigger a new assessment but there have been cases where forms have not been received and claims stopped.

Phoned esa they informed me because im contribution based and in the support group i need not do anything till april 2019 where i may need a medical assessment due to the changes
