I do not receive higher rate pip so cannot get an electric scooter but am desperate to get out to walk my dogs. I can walk about 20 yards and take a stool with me to sit on. Is there help available to buy or lease a mobility scooter?

Why don't you get enhanced mobility PIP? Did you lose an appeal?
-
I didn't appeal their decision. I think it's too late now.
-
You can appeal within 13 months if you give a reason.

if it is not too late I would appeal but if not then put in a change of circumstances form. you can lease scooters and you can also buy them second hand too. good luck Alijay

Are there any charities that give grants? I know that for example, the RNIB have grants for technology.

The grant search tool at:
https://www.scope.org.uk/support/disabled-people/search-grants
Might help to identify charities which you could apply to for a grant.
