I have 'mild' Cerebral Palsy with left side hemiplegia and scolisis caused by Schizencephaly. As far as I know there are no specific support group, only CP ones. I have just finished a course of neurophysiotherapy to continue at home.
I also have hypermobility in some of my major joints more on my right side.
Dyslexia. Polycystic ovarian Syndrome.
I know about the physical effects of Schizencephaly and was wondering about the other effects that I do not know about.
At the moment I am a stay at home mum to a wonderful daughter with Autism. Life is hectic! Once things have calmed down I want to see if I can find some kind of part time work as I want to feel more useful. I do volunteer a few hours a week in a youth group which I do enjoy but it is very tiring.
I would like some tips suggestions on how others manage. See if there's something I have not thought of.

Thank you

Hello Amber @Amberms1 and a warm welcome to the community. It is very good to have you with us.
You are obviously and impressively 'on the ball', so I'm hoping it will be useful if I give you the list of categories here https://community.scope.org.uk/categories. I notice that you've engaged in at least one discussion already, and access to the list might make it a little easier for you to connect with others.
Life for you clearly is 'hectic' and I admire your handling of it very much.
The only contribution I think I can make is to be here and to listen, should you want to vent, rant or simply natter about anything that is of interest to you. I would be very proud if you could consider me a friend.
    Warmest best wishes to you,
    Richard
