Just saying hello @denafrench1981 and welcome to the community. It's a bit quiet at this time at night - very much chance that I happen to be here - but things will kick off again properly in the morning. I don't know much about our housing system, I'm afraid, but there will be members here who do and will be in touch with you.
Bear with us, Dena (?) and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
    Warmest best wishes,
    Richard

They put you into bands depending on need. Mine for example do it by letter. EG, if you're in A you're in much greater need than someone whose in band C. Therefore, when a suitable property comes up, you'll get more of a priority than them.

Think it depends where in the country you are what rules you’v to follow.
In Scotland there no bidding or bands, points yes.

point systems do my head in !!!
