Hi guys

Firstly I hope I don't upset anyone struggling and living with "proper" cp, I am in awe of anyone who lives with constant pain and associated mobility or cognition difficulty. I hope to learn more from you!  But I personally joined because I want advice from anyone dealing with the issues that come with mild CP.
I get a fair bit of foot and hip pain and honestly buying shoes is a real struggle for me sometimes among some other problems. Hoping you guys with mild/moderate/advanced CP reach out and say hi especially if you don't mind me bouncing some questions off you. I'm nearly 30 but have never really explored this before.
Thanks!
Hal

Hello Halhal.  I have lived with pain for as long as I can remember.  Not sure if I can answer your questions,  but there are plenty of people here, so between us, maybe we can.

Hello Hal, @halhal, and a warm welcome to the community. We're glad to have you.
We have a specific thread here relevant to CP which you might like to have a look at to see some of the conversations and resources that are available there. We have a lot of members with CP of all levels of seriousness and I know you will find our members friendly, supportive and non-judgemental.
I am going to tag in our CP specialist here, just to make him aware of your post @Richard_Scope .
In the meantime please don't hesitate to ask us any questions or to tell us anything more about yourself, especially if it will help us find ways to be of support to you.
    Warmest best wishes to you,
    Richard

Thanks guys. Richard I'm so grateful thank you. I've never really known where to take my questions. I've never felt really worthy enough of support as I don't really have too many issues in the way that others do. I get issues with continence (mildly) and I mainly groan about not having great balance, some hip and foot pain and not being able to wear heeled shoes. My hand also crawls up and in when I'm poorly or very tired. But I'm generally very well, work as a nurse and I have an active life. Most people don't know I've even got CP from day to day as my mobility is generally good. So I've just generally put up with my lot as it were. But I do mostly worry about aging and how I might cope with pregnancy in the future. I'll take a look at that link and I'd be grateful for any support.

So basically, that's really wonderful thank you

    Hi @halhal
Great to have you join the Community. Firstly, you are worthy of support no matter how mild you impairment maybe! I have similar issues when I'm tired or ill, my body does not perform well in those circumstances either. Please do ask any questions we're here to support each other.

I just want to say hello Hal, I was encouraged by your post. I am 63 and have mild CP as well, but I have never met anybody else with the condition like mine as nobody ever gave me any advice on it, although I did have a lot of physiotherapy when I was a small child, but as an adult and nobody explained to me what cerebral palsy meant. I think they just assumed that I would know
