    Hi,
If the cancer diagnosis is terminal (6 months or less) then he'll be able to claim PIP under the special rules. For this they would need to get their GP/Consultant to fill in the DS1500 form. If not then PIP is possible with the normal claim process. See here all about PIP.

There's also a PIP self test that can be completed online that will give some idea what can be scored. Bear in mind that this is a guide only and an award would depend on evidence etc.

PIP isn't means tested so any other income from a partner doesn't matter.

For ESA then this maybe possible once their sick pay/SSP has ended.

For any other benefit help then ask them to put all their details into a benefits calculator and it will tell them what they could possibly claim.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
