    Hi @jude1967
Thanks for your post and a warm welcome to our community. The Government has reinstated the Severe Disablement Premium. However, I'm unsure of the timescales around back payment of the premium.
I will include a link to the ESA and Universal Credit conversation here

Thank you Richard for your reply.
I changed over to uc it's been my worst nitemare .I have had to fight them from day one with this it took 7 months for my my assessment and I only just got my first payment and as yet no back payment.they had to find a neurosurgeon to deal with my assessment which took 7 months to find .Which I sat through and went and before I had this assessment I had many conversation about this whole system as I was told wen u have to wait if don.t even read  on condition but if was quick to stop all my payments .I never took the loan to the me over as I first claim as I had saved money payed my own rent out of my benefits prior ..as I saved for a yr to transition over.now I payed cash out all my saving which to I was told I should.t have payed my rent ..but they weren't the ones that has to answer housing association.now I am still fighting for my back money towards the 8 month of them finding a neurosurgeon to do it..It's been frustrating .I realised on the premium before to pay for my care as everything stoped .then to read it back and reinstated..hopefully I can pay for the care which my sons have.done and they were the ones who told me.its frustrating as they get annoyed universal credit wen u question them ..they play they have no time limit to pay me back the 7mnths already I am like is this for real..

Where is the link to that?  Only seen it going to court. Unlawful to take it due to change in circumstances.

UC expects pip to cover your expenses.
Result well they have stuffed up so probably aren't!
Social care is a lottery and assessment, lack of funding.

Basically the government are squeezing money off every single claimant.

    Thanks.
It's saying those on sdp are covered by the announcement, those on edp are not.
It doesn't actually say when they will contact those affected.

I am on uc.i have had this struggle .it took 7 months for my medical assessment that was them finding a person in my case a neuro to do mine as I rare condition.they had the paperwork .I was suppose to have heard for my appointment it took longer to find someone with the Neuro side to do the medical.so I been fighting for every payment every myth it's been a nightmare to get one payment correct since November.one time I got payed 45 for month then I a nightmare to get payment correct every single month.. even though I a. Relying on other people then..for food which I been lucky I have my children even though they got their own families for food which they buy ..so I am getting it not even correct ..it's a complete nitemare for us that entitle to things..

I’ve recently been moved from ESA WRAG back into ESA Support, following my tribunal. My new claim includes £64.30 per week Severe Disability Premium, and they backdated it to the date of my tribunal hearing. It does exist, I hope you get yours sorted quickly. x
