I am almost 64 1/2, on esa support group, I didn't know that there is reassessments, till I received ESA50 through the post, I have completed it, have to go for a reassessment, I thought at my age this would not happen, as I reach 65 in Dec, state pension in March 2019.  I am so uptight about this, do you think they have made a mistake in calling me for this reassessment

Only one way to find out flower2- ring them up and ask?if they say theyve not ,at least you can discuss it& say what you have here- and see what they say- i guess that way youve not lost anything and maybe theyl realise the sense in what youre saying& cancel it.(could it be if theyve raised retirement age maybe??)

I think you should ask as my ex mother-in-law a couple of years back said she thought she'd get her pension but they made her wait or something.

    Hi
Thank you for your reply, I know that they haven't raised the pension age for me, I will get pension in March 2019, I have already waited nearly 5 yrs for pension

I know this is going to sound so so stupid, but when I filled in ESA50 I missed off a couple of health issues, ( I was so uptight about filling this form in) I have an appointment to go for assessment, can I take along a note of these to inform the assessor

@Flower2 You can mention anything relevant at your assessment and refer to notes as well

    Hi Flower2

It's a good idea as well to make sure that you know how the descriptors are scored and to be ready to offer as much information as possible that is relevant to the descriptors, at the assessment, if you have one.

Please have a read of the information on the Disability Rights UK website, so that you can be ready with the most relevant information at the assessment. The most relevant bits will be Appendices 1 to 4 - there are two parts to the work capability assessment; Appendices cover the first, and Appendices 3 to 4, the second part.

Do phone the helpline if you get stuck with this.
