Where can we hire a wheelchair from?

hi my sister has very bad parkinsons and i need to get a wheelchair to get to the hospital,does anyone know where i can hire one from?

Welcome to the community

If you would like to tell me the nearest town or city to where your sister lives I could try to identify somewhere for you.

But also if your sister has significant walking difficulties as a result of Parkinson's she may well be able to get permanently allocated manual wheelchair from the local NHS wheelchair clinic, her GP can refer her there.

You've had some really good suggestions already, so just in case you don't have luck with any of the above, it may be worth seeing if there's a Shopmobility near you. I've recently hired wheelchairs/powerchairs from my local branch for a small charge and can't speak highly enough of them!

From experience, there are dozens of better alternatives, so try anything first , to avoid redcross.    Only manuals were available,  and apparently made out of cast iron !    Two hefty men to lift it into a car , so no problems , as long as you have a full time staff of weightlifters.
