I am the mother of a 19 year old boy who has just been diagnosed with mild Spastic cerebral Pulse. It only affects his legs but due to the stiffness of the muscles his feet have twisted and deformed. Walking is difficult and painful for him.  He has become very closed off and we don’t know what help is avalible or where we should go from here.

    Thanks for listening 😺

    Hi @katg77
Welcome to our community and good to meet you.
Receiving a diagnosis can be a very difficult time and hard to come to terms with. There are things that can help to ease the muscle stiffness such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Have any of these been offered to your son?

Hi Richard. Thank you for replying to my post. It is hard coming to terms with a diagnosis or both of us.
My son attending Physio and a sees a occupational therapist @ Greenock who has helped a lot. He has not been offered hydrotherapy yet but that is something which I can bring up. We live in a small town with most services hours away.
Baclofen, insoles and a splint for bed is being used at the moment.
