Is osteoarthritis a disability

I have just been told by my doctors that I have osteoarthritis in my neck, and this is going to stop me doing my job as a lorry driver. Can I now be classed as disabled as I am not going to be able to do much else for work.

I would think so if you can't work because of it

Hi @rockinbear1958, welcome to the community!
There's no official register or way to be 'classed' as disabled as such, but many people with long-term conditions identify as disabled, yes. You may like to take a look at Scope's guidance on working with a disability, and alternatively you may also like to start looking into benefits you may be entitled to, as well. Hope this helps!
