I'm looking for other people who had a grice green surgery.
I had the surgery myself as a child and it screwed up my legs and feet, I would like to find others who have had it and what there experience was like and if like me they are suffering long term side effects because of it.

Hi @Cat39, I've been looking through our posts and it appears that you're the first person to talk about Grice Green surgery on the community!

I've shared your post in the hope that others will see it and come forwards, but for now, would you like to tell us some more about your experiences?

Oh wow there's no other posts about it, I'm amazed, I hope there are others out there like me and they contact me at some point. I feel rather lonely with it.

For those who are wondering it is a surgery used to correct foot disformaties, I was only small when I had it done so I might miss out a few things. But for what I can remember they removed part of the bone in my legs and out it into my foot to strengthen and correct the disformaties.

However, for whatever reason they only did this on one of my feet.
I was left with a perminat limp and later found out this was due to a length difference cause by the surgery. I have constant pain in my legs, hip, knees and feet, and the scars from the surgery become painful at times.
I have further issues with other body parts caused by it but I don't want to go into to much detail publicly.

I've heard other people have also had bad experiences with the surgery via doctors articles and google but I've never met anyone who's also had it.

Thank you for sharing this with us @Cat39- it's given me a bit of knowledge that I didn't have before!

I'll definitely keep an eye out for anybody else discussing it and hopefully point them in your direction. In the meantime, I'd recommend discussing your physical concerns with a GP or a professional involved in your care- it may even be that they know somebody who's had the surgery!
