Hello @shekardaz1328   Pleased to meet you welcome.

Glad to speak to you. I suffer from partial deafness. No one realises do they how much of an impact it has on your social life.

I know from getting older it is because my hearing becoming a issue . Yet I tried and have some problems getting hearing aids fitted.

All I can say I am here as I know many of our community are.  To share stories and have care and concern.

Have a look around if that helps.  Plenty of information and advice. New friends.

Hope I can be of help.. May I add have a look at  .Talk about Specific Conditions under Visual and hearing impairments for lots of the community. Have comments and also lots of support.

    Please take care

    Hi shekardaz1328

I am severley deaf in my right ear and profoundly deaf in my left ear and wear hearing aids permanently.

What i find the worst about socialising is the loud background noises as what i am able to hear becomes muffled. My hearing aid make everything louder so im essentially back deaf again lol.

Also if it have had a beer or 2 then i start losing the ability to lip read which doesnt help.

Although i made a brilliant recovery at my PIP assessment when i had a perfect conversation with the assessor without my hearing aids in from 17 foot apart 😂

LG You are not the first to discover the miraculous healing powers of officials, according to those same officials. .

Inhumane or degrading treatment is supposed to be banned, particularly for prisoners, yet   indignity is routine for those whose crime is to be frail,  disabled, or, worse, old, in which cas outright cruelty is routine.
