I applied for help with funeral costs some time ago and haven’t heard anything from the DWP. I also have brown envelope syndrome. I’m anxious about phoning them to ask what’s happened. Do they always respond to claims please?

@debbiedo49 I think the best thing you can do is to phone and see what is the delay, I hope you are ok as I know this will just be making you feel worse just now. take carelife is too short to let others make you miserable.

Hello @debbiedo49 Sorry to hear waiting for funeral payment.
Wonder if it is worth having a look at the DWP website for time it takes for them to do a payment.
Hope you are going to be OK. Am here for support if you need any.
Concerned as always for a valuable member of our community.
Take care

Thanks guys I’m okay. It’s just something else I’ve avoided as part of my anxiety. I downloaded the very lengthy forms and posted them in and got a receipt as I didn’t want to speak to them but obvs I have to. I’m expecting “we did not receive your form.”
