edited August 2018 in PIP, DLA, and AA
Just a quick question as what DWP have sent me seems to differ to what i've read on the internet. I'm switching from DLA to PIP, and received my PIP decision letter dated 9th August 2018, but the letter states that my PIP will start on the 29th August 2018? Aren't i supposed to get at least 4 weeks before my PIP takes over from my DLA?

Thanks @mikehughescq, so if i'm due my DLA on the 22nd of August and my PIP is due to take over on the 29th, will i still get that DLA payment?
They haven't made it very clear in the letter at all!

@jazzyjaffas you wrote: but the letter states that my PIP will start on the 29th August 2018?

Correct it will, and then you will be paid PIP four weeks after the 29th August.
so in effect you PIP will be paid on the 26th September, as DLA does not backdate. Also PIP is paid in arrears and no backdating.

I created one of the campaign election videos for Labour, and Jeremy Corbyn,
This is a new version of Emeli Sande, Hope "You Are Not Alone
I highlighted everything that's wrong with this country from benefits, NHS, UC etc, but now we have to put up with the hate now that is the Tories.
