Hi @Harmony1,
Welcome to Scope's online community! It's great to have you here.
I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've been having with ESA and Carers' Allowance. I've moved this post into our Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) category, so other members of our community will be able to help and offer support.
@BenefitsTrainingCo, would you happen to know why the sum has been reduced?

As this isent helping either off us I'm also on phone. It. As I have long term illnesses and disabledHi,When a person is claiming Carers Allowance and ESA Income Related they can't both be paid at the same time. This means that the Carers Allowance will be deducted from her ESA £64.30 per week. ESA will then add a Carers Premium of £36 per week. Carers Allowance then pay your daughter £64.30 per week. This results in your daughter being £36 per week better off. Complicated, yes and very few people understand it but she is better off. Hope this helps.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hello Harmony1I think poppy123456 has explained this very well and there's not much i can add. If you'd like to give an exact breakdown of your weekly payments it may be that we can explain them further.DavidThe Benefits Training Co:
