Child DLA tribunal query

Hi,

Our child has had an appeal outstanding for 42-43 weeks. Every time we ring the local court for an update we get a different explanation. They even contradicted citizens advice.

The latest they said is if it gets to 44 weeks they send the case back to DWP Birmingham.

Does anyone know what happens then?

We’re thinking the appeal may never get heard.

Any information welcome.

    Hi,

There's huge backlogs all over the country for Tribunals and some are waiting in excess of 1 year for their hearing. Your appeal won't be canceled and as soon as a date becomes available they will write to you. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Good luck.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you. Was just worried referring back to Birmingham dwp would start the process again.
