whilst I have not had inpatient treatment for PTSD I have had some treatment using a technique known as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming, EMDR. The technique has been successfully used for treating combat vetrans. It does not involve medication. Have you asked about this?
Here is an article in The Mail that explains how EMDR can help, there is a video to show what a session looks like.

There is is also another technique know as Emotional Freedom Therapy, this is similar to EMDR, and is also know as “Tapping”, take a look at EFT.com, they have information that may be useful. The great thing about tapping is you can do it for yourself.
Do you have Complex PTSD, I haven’t heard of people having inpatient residential treatment before, where is this going to take place? Why have they decided to take this route? Do you have to take medication?
Please let let us know the details, so we can assist further.
I wish you well, for a successful outcome.
