Why do we have to supply 6years of bank statements for the ESA 3 form.

    The main reason is to make sure you have not had savings and disposed of money to enable you to claim benefits, but asking for Six years back bank statements seems excessive.

    It's not excessive. It's simply checking for savings/income for the time your claiming for. DWP won't just award a means tested benefit without checking, it's part of the process to being assessed.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
