I said I was feeling better on esa50 form

Neenee67Neenee67 Posts: 10Member Listener
On October 14th I was sent esa50 form and it had to be back by the 14/11/18. I initially filled it in saying I was feeling a bit better and wanted to move on with my life. But the problem is, I suffer with EUPD, ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION. Recently I have also been under respiratory consultant, who are investigating my chest problems and it might be COPD OR ASTHMA.. I'm in support group at the moment and regret saying on my form I was feeling better. What will happen now. Please help....

Have ESA been back in contact with you since you told them you were feeling better?
I'm tagging in @BenefitsTrainingCo who may be able to advise you better than I.

    Hi,

Most people have face to face assessments for ESA reviews so expect one of these. You would have needed evidence to support your claim. There's nothing more you can do until you hear back from the health assessment providers, with a date for the face to face assessment.

With Christmas being so close you may have longer delays so bare that in mind.

My gp wrote letter and was faxed through stating I was suffering from significant ill health and it has exasperated my mental health with advice to do paperbased decision within view to keep me in support group for at least another 12 months. Got letter from bootle and they are going on paper based decision. I'm waiting now for outcome I'm terrified. As my nerves are bad anyway and also my respiratory health is undergoing lots of tests. Does anyone feel what group I will put in. Neenee 🙁

I don't know what "bootle" is, sorry.

No one can tell you what group you'll be placed into, you'll need to wait for the decision. If they are doing a paper based assessment and the report has been returned to DWP then you can ring them to ask for a copy of this. That will give you some idea what the decision will most likely be as they usually go with the report.

Poppy your advice was incorrect as they do not give out report until you receive a decision  Well that is what advisor told me today

If you live in the UK that is not correct, my advice was right. I had a re-assessment for ESA in November and i rang for a copy of the assessment report. I received it 2 days later and this was before the decision was made. I received the days 10 days after that.

Ring again and speak to someone else, chances are they will agree to send it to you. Sometimes some advisers won't send it out, others will.

I'm scared to ring again they are being very off with me. I feel like a criminal the way they treating me I'm feeling very ill mentally and not left house in days

As it's a paper based assessment you can't be found fit for work, so that's a good thing. You can however be placed into either of the groups WRAG or Support Group. Hopefully it won't be too long before the decision is made.
