Will DWP appeal tribunal decision?

Won my PIP appeal yesterday - a year after the DWP stopped my DLA. Been a depressing year - but now I am worried that the DWP may appeal the tribunals decision - as stated in the papers. How likely is this? Do they do this often? Hard to cope with another year without this help that I had been getting for 6 years prior.

Sorry to read that you have had such a tough year with trying to get PIP. I'm not certain how often the DWP challenge a tribunal decision but our members will have experience of this.

Great news. They can't appeal without finding the error in law and to do this they first need to ask for the statement of reasons and they have 1 month to request this.

Back dated money can take anything from 2-8 weeks. With Xmas being so close you most likely won't receive any money until after Xmas now.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
