Hi everyone. I'm Eleanor and I work on the Channel 4 property programme Location, Location, Location. Thanks for letting me join the community. We are looking for people to apply for our new series.
Need help finding your dream home? Kirstie and Phil are back for a new series! Buying a house can be tough at the best of times. Add the need to find a home that is adaptable or an apartment that is accessible and the task can become overwhelming.
We recently featured Claire, a young woman with Cerebral Palsy who wanted to continue living independently in London.
https://www.channel4.com/programmes/location-location-location/on-demand/68206-009 You can watch it here if you fancy a look.
If you or someone you know are looking for a home with special requirements, we'd love to hear from you. You can apply online at: https://www.shortaudition.com/location-location-location
Unable to apply via the link? We can do it over the phone. Please email location@iwcmedia.co.uk with your requirements.
Thanks everyone! Look forward to hearing from you. Any questions, please feel free to drop me a line on here.

@EleanorPlackett Sounds interesting and made me wonder whether Location, Location, Location ever do programmes on renting? I ask because my disabled son is a student in a northern city and would dearly love to move out of wheelchair adapated Uni accommodation but simply cannot find anything suitable to rent..

Hi. I'm afraid the programme's format means we can only help buyers. There are no plans to include renters as of yet. Sorry we couldn't be of more help on this occasion.Eleanor Plackett| Casting Producer (Location, Location, Location)

Hi @forgoodnesssake
There is some information on the Prime Location website about looking for accessible properties that might help?Scope
Senior online community officer -
@Sam_Scope I have just searched rentals on Prime Location for the relevant city using (separately) "wheelchair" and "disabled" and found absolutely nothing (except a few listings coming up that were clearly useless...ie picture of half flight of steps up to front door of a terrace, or a flat on the first floor with no lift. And that was looking at things up to £1250 per month!

Finding rental properties is an absolute nightmare. When I first left home, I lived in some less than suitable properties. Mostly Victorian houses converted into flats. It was a real struggle with my wheelchair and I understand that it would be virtually impossible for some. @forgoodnesssake you could try accessible-property.org.uk
If you email me your son's requirements, I'm more than happy to help search for something suitable
